The plot points alternate between absurd and impossible but the leads are

I thought it was better than Netflix's usual (and I'm crediting the
director, Scott Derrickson, for that). Fwiw, the fact that it ticks a
half-dozen genre-boxes, while living in none, is part of its charm.

As I said in my rec.arts.tv WDYW? thread review, if Netflix has done
this, it would have been utter crap (and likely would have had different
leads).

But because Apple did it, it was actually surprisingly decent.
